Doha, 8th March 2023: The Atelier by professor Jimmy Choo OBE presented their latest collection Paradiso in an exclusive trunk show at Amici Di Moda in Place Vendome, for the first time in Qatar.
The Atelier, means “the expectation with craftsmanship spirit, and it was founded in 1986 as a small bridal shop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It specializes in the use of sophisticated fabrics combined with bold and avant-garde tailoring and has devoted a lot of efforts to growing into the most influential wedding dress haute couture brand in the world. Professor Jimmy Choo OBE and The Atelier brand created a fusion of wedding culture around the world with its international vision and background that has always inspired elegant brides, remembering the goddess of Athens, or the gorgeous French, romantic and traditional elegance or the contemporary American.
The Paradiso Collection is defined by soft colors in the range of beige, grey, blue and some touch of deep red. Characterized for the lighter lines and tulles, feathers, embroideries and gorgeous beading the volumes are reduced and more fluid, light sleeves and almost invisible details made these dresses an ethereal statement full of light. The inspiration makes reference to Dante’s paradise in “The Divine Comedy”; an epic journey around man and God which is also the beginning of the greatest love stories of all time. The love of the Divine Comedy is a pure and elegant love, the one we think it is as love should be, but it is actually obnubilate with our own aspirations. In this collection it is deconstructed and spliced each fantasy image with different textured fabrics to recreate the poem itself with metal threads in different shades of colors on each design. The celestial astrological patterns are also added with a strong art deco style which results in a mysterious, noble, sensual and ethereal aura to the collection.
The showrunners thanked all the guests and partners who were present during the distinguished event. Celebrity events designer, Adam Afara, contributed with his elegant flower arrangements for the occasion.
