Doha, Qatar – 15 June 2022: On Saturday June 11, Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som, and Msheireb Properties celebrated Global Wellness Day, a day dedicated to living well and finding inner peace to build a healthier and happier community.
First celebrated in 2012, Global Wellness Day aims to raise awareness about the importance of living well. With the slogan, “One day can change your life,” this occasion presents an opportunity for reflection and motivation for better health and wellness practices. Observed in more than 170 countries in thousands of locations, this one day celebration also highlights the value of prevention in physical and mental wellness.

Hence, in our attempt and commitment to helping achieve Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and build a happier and healthier nation, we invited our local communities to join us in this Global Wellness Day, because community wellbeing is our wellbeing.” said Mr. Daniele Vastolo, General Manager of Zulal Wellness Resort.
To celebrate the annual Global Wellness Day, Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som and Chiva-Som Resort in Hua Hin, Thailand hosted a series of complimentary activities both virtually and on-resort for guests. The one-day event celebrates health and wellbeing and was designed to increase global consciousness around living a healthier life. Expert advisors and practitioners from both Chiva-Som and Zulal Wellness Resort led a series of educational activities such as talks, training exercises and wellness workshops, throughout the day.
The afternoon community activation programme at Zulal Wellness Resort started with a ‘Sunset Qi Gong’ session by expert trainer Donato Panaccio followed by a calming singing bowls meditation to set a relaxing, peaceful tone for the night. The evening concluded with a wholesome serving of healthy bites prepared by Executive Chef Indrajit Saha and his team at Zulal’s Wellness Cuisine. Recognising the benefits of following a plant-based diet, Chef Saha also shared his thoughts on ‘The Myths of Protein Intake in Plant-Based Diets’ and advice on getting sufficient protein in the body.
