29 July 2020, Doha, Qatar: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) wishes everyone a blessed Eid Al-Adha. On this occasion, QIB has announced that four mall branches will be operating during the Eid Al-Adha holiday.
Effective from the evening of the second day of Eid, Saturday 1st of August, the following mall branches will be operating: Al Gharafa (Qmall), Doha Festival City, Dar Al Salam Mall and City Center. The morning shift will be from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm and the evening one from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm. All currently operating branches will resume work starting Wednesday 5th of August as per their regular opening hours.
During these unprecedented times, a key preventive measure to limit the spread of the COVID-19 is to transact remotely through digital channels and avoid any physical contact. Therefore, QIB is not accepting applications for services that are available on QIB’s award-winning Mobile App, Internet Banking, ATMs, or Call Center.
QIB is urging all customers to bank from home and prioritize the use of its digital channels, which have over 95 features available 24/7, and are built to serve instantly the majority of customers’ banking needs. QIB has invested significantly over the last few years in its Mobile App and Internet Banking portals to make sure that customers can bank in a convenient, simple and secure way. As per the Government directives, any customers visiting branches for exceptional matters need to wear a face mask and show the healthy green status on the Ehteraz App before entering any QIB branch.
Corporate clients are also requested to manage their banking services remotely, as all of their daily banking needs are available on QIB’s Corporate Internet Banking. Through the platform, corporate customers can make local and international transfers, apply for Letter of Credit (LCs) and Bank Guarantee (LGs), check balances, manage liquidity, request statements, pay utility bills (Kahramaa and Ooredoo), open and manage fixed deposit accounts, manage corporate credit cards, manage cheques, and request card and cheque book replacements to be delivered to their addresses. All registered customers to the Corporate Internet Banking portal can also benefit from the recently launched QIB Corporate App for reviewing and approving all corporate banking requests and transactions.
QIB has 180 ATMs strategically placed across the country, 40 of them being Cash & Cheque Deposit Machines, eliminating the need to interact with a teller in the branch. To further limit contact in branches, QIB has Interactive Teller Machines (Live Teller) for customers to talk to a bank teller via real time audio/video to conduct the same banking transactions offered at a regular branch. The machines are being regularly cleaned and hand sanitizers are installed next to each machine for customers to use before and after completing their transactions.
