Doha, Qatar Feb 16 2020: Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) celebrated graduating the 7th cohort of its leading quality qatarization program Kawader, where 28 graduates entered the financial services sector bringing the total number of graduates since its inception to 176.
Under the theme of trust, perseverance, professionalism, integrity and hard-work, the graduation ceremony witnessed the attendance of a number of elite officials from the financial services sector including, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qasim Al Thani Deputy Governor of Qatar Central Bank and Chairman of the Board of Directors in QFBA, CEOs of the financial services sector and Dr. Khalid Al Horr, President of QFBA
The ceremony kicked off as Dr. Khalid Al Horr, President of QFBA addressed the graduating cohort by celebrating their achievements, welcoming the attending guests and applauding graduates on the role they have played in developing the financial services sector’s human capital capabilities, as well as occupying a key stake in the qatarization of the country. The ceremony was followed by a graduate speaker who addressed the guests and shed light on her own journey and skills acquired and the distribution of certificates and tokens of appreciation to the esteemed members who have been involved in the support of Kawader since its inception.
On this occasion, Dr. Khalid Al Horr, President of QFBA said:
“As we celebrate our graduates for their excelling achievements, I would like to reaffirm that the Kawader graduates are now more equipped than ever to successfully pursue their careers in the financial services sector and lead the advancement of our beloved nation. With a mission to uphold the pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030, we continuously work with young and talented professionals capable of occupying leadership roles and strategic management positions that can propel the development of the financial services sector of Qatar forward.”
In addition, he commented:
“We would also like to note that our celebration this year coincides with the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Academy. We can now proudly say that QFBA has become the trusted national partner for professional development and training in the financial services sector. This in turn has enabled to partner with other sectors and governmental institutions to provide long-term national training programs. We are determined to continue this trajectory and journey.”
