26 May 2019, Doha, Qatar: The Edge Picture Company, the award-winning film production company, hosted iftar last week for its stakeholders at the St. Regis Hotel, which was attended by the company’s team members from the Doha and London offices, clients, media, and business sector representatives.
During the event, The Edge team emphasised its commitment to supporting the development of the local Film Production Industry, and determination to creating award-winning films that help convey Qatar’s vision to the world.
Jamie Riordan, Head of Production – Middle East, said: “We regard ourselves as a Qatari company with the support of our London office. The Edge has been in Qatar for 14 years, and we have successfully become the local partner of choice, bringing 28 years of global expertise to Doha.
We are excited to be at the forefront of the local film and production sector, supporting the country in promoting its message to the world through film.”

Their most recent work includes an Awareness TVC campaign for Al Shafallah, airing currently on Qatar TV and over social media. The film promotes compassion and inclusiveness for people with mental disabilities and autism in Qatar and has had such a major impact that it has been shared by Senior officials.
The Edge has been recently crowned as the ‘Production Company of The Year Worldwide’ for the 13th year running at the ‘New York Festivals TV & Film Awards’. It was also voted No. 1 Film Production Company in London’s Televisual Magazine’s annual Peer Poll, and, lately won awards for films they produced on behalf of Sidra and Mwani at The Brand Film Festival in London.
